Tax Litigation Attorney

The Office of the Minnesota Attorney General is accepting resumes for a tax litigation attorney.  This position regularly tries cases and handles their own appeals  This lawyer has a high degree of responsibility over their cases, obtains significant courtroom experience, and gets the opportunity to work on important and challenging legal issues in a high-caliber, professional setting that makes a difference to our state.

Applicants must have good academic credentials, well-developed written and oral communication skills, superior research and analytical abilities, and a professional work ethic.  An accounting or finance degree or LLM in taxation and/or prior tax, financial or litigation experience is preferred, but not required.

If you have Federal Direct Student Loans (or other federal loans that may be consolidated into a Direct Consolidation Loan), your employment with this Office may qualify you to have your student loans forgiven after a period of service and payments.  (For more information, visit
