Associate Attorney – Workers’ Compensation

Minnesota – Disability law firm in Coon Rapids is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with excellent skills and 0-3 years’ experience. The ideal candidate will be available for full-time work.


The associate attorney will be responsible for all aspects of client matters including meeting with prospective clients, devising litigation strategies, drafting pleadings, supervising and delegating work to paralegals and assistants, preparing for and attending court hearings, and negotiating resolutions with opposing attorneys.


  • Workers’ Compensation Law skills and experience are valued, but attitude, character, personality and integrity are also important.
  • Self-starter, quick learner, and have a solid ability to work both independently and with a winning team.
  • Creative problem solving, flexibility and an ability to prioritize are important.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid computer and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of discretion, confidentiality and integrity in the handling of personal client information, including following the Rules of Professional Conduct.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with high standards for quality and quantity of work.
  • Be able to interact with our clients, colleagues and co-workers in a compassionate, personable and professional manner.


  • 0-3 years attorney experience in Workers’ Compensation
  • Employment and ERISA law experience a plus
  • Active member of the Minnesota Bar
  • Excellent references and stable employment history
