Le Sueur County Attorney’s Office

The Le Sueur County Attorney’s Office has an opening for a full-time Assistant County Attorney/general practice attorney. To provide effective legal services by representing Le Sueur County Board of Commissioners, other Le Sueur County boards, commissions, departments as well as clients in the general practice law firm.

The position is responsible for assisting the County Attorney in preparing and presenting findings, brief, legal documents and cases to courts and juries. To prosecute criminal cases and provide legal representation in civil lawsuits. Provide legal services in the area of child support enforcement, paternity proceedings and foster care reimbursement. Provide a broad range of legal services in the general practice law firm. Other related work as apparent or assigned.

Graduation from an accredited college of law; experience preferred but not necessary. Must be licensed in order to practice law in the State of Minnesota with the ability to complete 45 credits of continuing legal education every three years to maintain licensure. Must hold a valid Minnesota driver’s license. Must appreciate the rural lifestyle and willing to support the community.
