Part-Time Tutors & Adjunct Professors

Mitchell Hamline School of Law seeks part-time tutors and adjunct professors in the Academic Excellence department. Tutors and adjuncts will teach foundational skills such as critical reading, case briefing, legal analysis, and writing.

Tutors will meet regularly with students and will have access to meeting space and school resources such as comprehensive binders of all materials and exercises to use in their teaching. Tutors are invited to attend team meetings and participate in program development as their interests and schedules permit.

Adjuncts will teach classes of twelve to fourteen students. Day, evening, and weekend classes are available. Comprehensive teaching materials, exercises, and other support provided to all adjuncts.

Qualifications: JD degree from an ABA accredited law school, demonstrated excellence in legal writing and analysis, demonstrated ability to communicate in an effective manner. Previous tutoring, mentoring, or teaching experience preferred.
