Each year the MSBA Civil Litigation Section publishes its invaluable Time’s Up Manual, which identifies and organizes the time limits imposed for civil claims by the Minnesota Statutes. It covers time limitations in the Minnesota Statutes, Minnesota Rules of Civil Procedure, General Rules of Practice in the District Courts, and the Minnesota Rules of Civil Appellate Procedure, and is updated to reflect the most recent changes in the law. It includes statutes of limitation, statutes that direct action by a party during the pendency of a civil lawsuit, and statutes that direct a person or an entity to take certain actions within a specific time.
The Civil Litigation Section provides this manual at no cost to members of the section and for purchase by non-members. The 2016-17 edition was just published and is available as a digital download. If you are interested in purchasing a copy of the manual, visit the section’s webpage at www.mnbar.org/civil-litigation. You’ll find the manual there. If you would like to join the section and receive a complimentary copy of the manual in addition to other section benefits, you can join online or contact Jennifer Carter at (612) 278-6309).
