The MSBA’s top priority during the 2017 legislative session is to support adequate funding for the courts, public defenders, and civil legal services. The coming session will set the state’s biennial budget.
In addition to this budget priority, the MSBA will lobby in support of amendments to the Real Property Electronic Recording Act, the Minnesota Corporate Farm Law, and the Nonprofit Corporation Act. The proposed amendments originated with the Real Property Section, Probate and Trust Law Section, and Business Law Section, respectively.
